Italians  love to eat well and healthy.

I’m quite a good cook myself and I’m selective in terms of food: it shall be better than what I cook, or a complex preparation and surely fresh and tasty ingredients.

The secret of choosing a good restaurant when you’re on your own is checking inside to see of many Italians are there.

You can easily recognize the most touristy activities: they have someone outdoor calling you to have lunch inside. If a place is good it will have no need of calling the passersby.

For lunch the Romans have bite grabbing a piece of pizza or eating a salad, sandwich or pasta in the cafe shop or bistros. Rome historical centre is the centre of the Italian government and persons working in the bureaucracy  are the target for coffee shop or food places.

Situation changes when we go out for dinner.
Again we have many choices everywhere, even in our same neighborhood. If we get to the historical centre is to enjoy good food combined with the historical atmosphere. We love to dine and to stroll afterward in our beautiful squares…

I’m not aimed to give you a complete list of restaurants, but rather wish to suggest you some ideas…

Many restaurants are organized to serve food for celiac persons. Nevertheless a list of certified pizzerias and restaurant for celiac is listed too.
