The recently restored palace of the Barberini papal family house a rich and fascinating art collection. On display are paintings of artists of the Italian school from the 14th to the 18th century, Caravaggio and Raphael amidst the others. Particularly worth of notice are also the staircases projected by Bernini and Borromini and the main hall frescoed by Pietro da Cortona.
